Part 4: Using Measureit

measureit

Part 4 of the web design basics series is a tutorial on using the Measureit add-on for Firefox. Measureit allows you to find the dimensions of certain elements of a website. Use the cross hair to click and drag on any place on a website to find that elements width and height in pixels. This saves you time because you no longer have to save an image and bring it into your image editing software. Along with finding image dimensions you can also use it in development to figure out the width of columns on a website.
