Welcome "Soft Launchers"!
Written by Kyle Ledbetter

We just couldn't bring ourselves to add a cliche' BETA to our site logo, so we're calling this early release of JoomlaPraise a "soft launch". We've invited 50 lucky folks to have their $75 subscription fee waived and begin downloading our first templates and module. The main goal of this is to reward those who supported us in the infamous Joomla! 1.5 Template Contest, and secondly to get the site ready for its prime-time debut.

On March 29th, correction: Feb 29th  we'll be opening the doors up to the public, so that means the next 4 days will be rather interested to say the least.

Thanks so much to the 1st 50, you're helping see our dreams come to fruition.

March 29 or February 29?

The interesting thing about launching on February 29 is that you can only have an anniversary every 4 years. When my wife and I were dating in college, we broke up for a long time and got back together on February 29, 2000 for the last time (We got married a year-and-a-half later.), and we are celebrating our second "anniversary" of getting back together on the 29th, even though it was 8 years ago! smilies/smiley.gif

Whoops, meant Feb 29th (that's what I get for blogging so late)
That's very cool! I'm getting married exactly 1 month after your anniversary!
I didn't really think about only having an anniversary every 4 years for the site, I guess we'll have to get creative for promotions! smilies/grin.gif
