Projectfork 2.0 stable released!

ProjectForkAfter two years of development I am happy and proud to announce the first stable release in the history of Projectfork! What has started out as a little tool to keep my own projects a bit more organized has now become one of the biggest components available for Joomla!

Of course quantity does not stand over quality, but the amount of code sure is impressive. In one year, I (mostly) created:
- 36.928 lines of code
- The Projectfork framework
- 36 panels (like modules in Joomla)
- 10 sections (like components in Joomla)
- 3 processes (like plugins in Joomla)
- 1 theme (like template in Joomla)

While I did most of the work, there are others who have helped and deserve to be announced (in no particular order):
Fabrice Michaut, Kyle Ledbetter, Gary Gisclair, Will mavis, Alex Andreae, Jeff Koertzen, Roger Perren, Jim Delmer and many others.

Up next

Projectfork will always move on and this release is not "perfect", and nothing ever is. So if you find anything that is not working for you, head over to the forum and report it. In the meantime I will take care of some documentation and developer tutorials. Kyle will also prepare some video tutorials for those who just want to take a quick tour. Joomlapraise and I will be developing some "Pro" extensions that aren't necessities, but will add extra features and functionality. These will be available soon in a new marketplace which we're currently developing. The money made from these sales  will help fund the project and some features may trickle into the core package. Don't worry, we're not turning ProjectFork into a commercial extension, the core component will always be free. More on that later...

Now go and grab the stable release!

Let me add my wooooo hooo!! Your extension is by far the best project manager integration to Joomla, I just re-discovered it today and I'm fascinated by the work you've done. Congratulations to everyone for the gift to the Joomla community. smilies/grin.gif

Tobias. Very nice. Very nice indeed!

Just beginning to implement this and havent come across any major issues as yet.

Loving the flexibilit, but looking forward to getting the documentation to read as this may prove useful for some smaller tweaks.

Is there a way to add tasks in calendar? Or somehow assign new projects and duties in the calendar, like planning for future events?

Thanks

Projectfork is an awesome extension and I appreciate your efforts. This is my first experience with Joomla and Projectfork. I've had problems with the ordering of tasks. Sometimes they don't show within the subtask but selection view all seems to fix the problem. I wish view all would 'stick'. Thanks!!
