We've also included some new template parameters in the backend that will give you even more ways than before to customize your site's logo, tagline, headline & body fonts, layouts and more. There's even a new color picker that will help you find the right font & logo colors for your site. It will save you loads of time.
Logo Options
The first thing you'll notice when you log into the new EleGlance Template Manager is the expanded Logo Options section where you can customize your site's logo style, tagline, slogan, color and size.
- You can choose between an image logo or a Site Title (text) logo. If you choose image from the 'Logo Type' dropdown, you can upload the image of your choice and it automatically sizes it correctly within your template. No more editing CSS for your logo! If you chooose 'Site Title', your site's name/title will be inserted as text into the template's logo area—at the top left-hand side of your website.
- Logo - Additional Text: You will be able to add some additional text next to your logo in this field. The logo will be an H1 tag on your homepage and a paragraph tag on inner pages for maximum SEO value.
- Slogan: You can also display a text slogan/tagline that will go underneath your main logo if you enter text in this field.
- Logo Font Size: You can enter your desired font size in this field (text logo only)
- Logo Font Color: And finally, you can easily change the color of your text logo here using our new color picker
Style Options
- Template Theme dropdown menu: Choose from (5) colorful pre-built themes
- Layout: Choose from Right sidebars, left sidebars or both in your layout
- Body Font Family: Choose from a variety of serif and sans-serif families
- Heading Font Family: Choose from standard families such as "Arial,Helvetica" and "Georgia, Times New Roman" or the unique built-in Google Font "Yanone Kaffeesatz"
- Color Picker: Easily change the Font color, Heading color, Link color and Link Hover color with the new color picker
Responsive Layout
That's right! We modified the original layout to be responsive for mobile phones. We even modified a few extensions to work with it, such as Wordpress for Joomla!
- Responsive mobile landscape and portrait mode: Your site will look great for your mobile audience. If you don't have a phone to check it out on then resize your browser to it's smallest size and it will switch (except for menu). Note: Not all 3rd party extensions are made to look good with a responsive template.
- Native mobile menus: We have reprogrammed the mod_menu module to default to an option list so your phone will utilize it's built-in content wheel for choosing menu items (and it doesn't use any javascript to do it). Once you see it, we guarantee you will fall in love!
- Scalable screen for tablets: To ensure your site looks the same in tablets as it does for your desktop we have modified the code to make tablets scale the page instead of using responsive code for a more consistant look and feel.
- Third party extension support: We have included code to make Wordpress for Joomla! responsive so your favorite blogging software will look perfect on your mobile phone. We will be offering more compatibility over the next few months for even more extensions.
It's Social!
We created built-in social media buttons and links. Just enter your ID for your favorite social media sites in the template admin area and it will add an icon on the top linked to your page and adds sharing buttons above or below your content. Of course you get to choose what shows up.

Additional template additions:
- We have updated the index.php with some new code to make it easier to read with the additions we made. All module positions are created in an easy to follow set of variables so you update the variable with a new name and everything else in the template will change automatically for you.
- Designers will appreciate some of the added classes, such as "first" and "last" on all menu items. We have also added multiple classes on the body tag such as the type of component the page is using, the itemid, if it's homepage, and even extensive information about the browser, OS and version number.
- Programmers will have the ability to easily add functionality using our templatehelper.php file. We have an advanced browser detection script including a mobile detection function, a flexible and easy to use script that loads styles and/or javasscripts according to the component currently being used on the page and many other hooks to make your life easier.
